background: HOXB4 is a homeodomain-containing transcription factor with diverse roles in embryonic development and the regulation of adult stem cells. It promotes proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and can both activate and repress apoptosis. Function: Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Similarity: Belongs to the Antp homeobox family. Deformed subfamily. Contains 1 homeobox DNA-binding domain. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications. OXB4通過(guò)激活不同的信號(hào)通路增強(qiáng)HSC的自我更新,同時(shí)又不影響維持正常穩(wěn)態(tài)造血的調(diào)控機(jī)制。提高HOXB4的表達(dá)水平,能夠極大地增強(qiáng)HSC的自我更新功能,但基本不影響細(xì)胞的分化、系特異性及終末細(xì)胞的形態(tài)和功能。另外,HOXB4還可增強(qiáng)胚胎干細(xì)胞(embryonic stem cell,ESC)的造血潛能,促進(jìn)ESC向造血細(xì)胞分化。 |
