May be required to degrade trans-3-hydroxy-L-proline from the diet and originating from the degradation of proteins such as collagen-IV that contain it. Subunit: Homodimer. Tissue Specificity: Ubiquitously expressed. Similarity: Belongs to the proline racemase family.
